INTERNATIONAL PROMOTION “I AM AN AMBASSADOR OF THE MUSEUM.”

Our goal: to create a museum dedicated to Anton Chekhov in France.
As researchers specializing in Chekhov’s life and work, we are working to establish an international cultural space dedicated to his literary and human legacy.
The museum will be a place of encounter, transmission, and research. It will aim to highlight the universality of Chekhov’s message through exhibitions, original archives, events, and international partnerships.
The «I am the museum’s ambassador» initiative is only the first symbolic step in this cultural adventure.

Send a postcard with the wish “to be the Anton Chekhov Museum in France” to

MORE DETAILS

We, former residents of the beautiful city of Taganrog, the homeland of Anton Pavlovich Chekhov, and now living in France, fans of the famous writer’s work, announce the beginning of the international campaign “I AM THE MUSEUM AMBASSADOR”.

We set the goal of opening a Chekhov Museum in France; we ask you to send a postcard with wishes to the future museum of the great writer Anton Pavlovich Chekhov.
The received postcards will be shown to the French Ministry of Culture and may serve as additional motivation when deciding whether to open a museum. At the moment, negotiations are already underway.
If the project is successful, the postcards received will be included in the museum’s exhibition.

Please write your wishes on the card in the language of your country of residence.

Work is also underway to collect future exhibits. Therefore, if you have any items related to Anton Chekhov, his entourage, his places of residence, play posters, etc. and you are ready to donate these items to the museum in the future, please contact us by mail: tchekhovfr@gmail.com

Thank you for your contribution to the future Anton Pavlovich Chekhov Museum.

“…good museums are not compiled over years, but, one might say, centuries. You have made a start — and that’s already a lot.” A.P. Chekhov in a letter to P.F. Iordanov, December 14, 1902.

We are grateful, dear friends, for your response. We received postcards with sincere wishes from various countries.

We thank the theaters of Italy, Brazil, the Czech Republic, the USA, South Korea, and Republic of Slovakia for sending posters for performances based on the works of A. Chekhov, shown on their scenes.

For any questions, please contact us by mail: tchekhovfr@gmail.com

With gratitude and respect, the creative team of the project, Dmitrii Zinkovskii and Kseniia Zinkovskaia
